District Cross Country Results

AT Nottingham Park yesterday, the Eagle Cross Country Teams competed for the district titles. This was the first meet of the season in which the 1 loop racer ran a mile, and the 2 loop runners ran 2 miles. IT was mighty chilly yesterday with a strong North wind.  The 7th graders took it all in stride and came out ready to compete.
The 7th grade crew, across the board, has been the most consistent at practice and therefore has shown the most improvement at the meets. The 7th grade boys won the district championship with the 7th grade girls coming in 2nd.

7th GRADE GIRLS
Georgia Harper remained undefeated throughout the season in the 2 loop category.  She didn't just win, she won each race leading start to finish and is now the newly crowned District Champion.
Georgia Letchford is also a district champion in the 1 loop race and had a phenomenal season as well.
Savannah Baerg and Isabel Vierra both finished in the top 10.

7th GRADE BOYS
The 7th grade boys were led by Jacob Abshire in 3rd, Jackson Howard in 4th, Cole Oilphant in 5th and Hagen Bach in 6th in the 2 loop race.
Evan Chan, Nick Perdomo and Chase Ollenburger all finished in the top ten in the 1 loop race
Special Shout Out to Myles Moise who showed up to compete even though he had an ear infection.  He gets the tough kid of the day award!

8th GRADE GIRLS
The 8th grade girls finished 2nd in District after winning every meet all year...Unfortunately, rescheduling the meet conflicted with our Band/Orchestra folks concert night and Basketball games.
However, the Lady Eagles put in a good showing:  Leading the team with a 2nd place finish, was Emily Ward, with Sydney Ashmore placing 3rd, and Caroline Bradley in 6th, in the 2 loop race.
In the one loop race Natalie Ling finished 2nd, with Susan Do in 13th.
8th GRADE BOYS
The 8th grade boys were also 2nd in District  led by Nathan Boutros in 5th, Ryan Wedel in 6th, and Peter Adams in 9th place in the 2 loop race.
Jai Francis finished 3rd in the one loop race with Thomas Neyland finishing 6th.

Great Season EAGLES!
